Other Bush surrogates have said fighting an insurgency will take at least another 10 years. HRC earlier said she didn't expect to be out within her first term, although I'm confused by her recent debate ravings. RP says get the heck out right now.
Mr. Bush wants to continue to have his (and his neocon advisors) grubby hands on WOT, Iraq and Afghanistan policy by moving General P. up to head NATO's armed forces before he packs up and moves to Crawford.
So, even if BO or HRC win, they must deal with NATO's feeble efforts in Afghanistan.
